Our Vision:
Our vision is to lead the way in promoting, developing, and growing fitness and overall health through
swimming in the Goulburn Valley region.
Our Mission:
GV Crocs is dedicated to creating a fun and safe environment where adult swimmers in our community can
regularly train for fitness, wellbeing, and competition.
Goulburn Valley Masters Swimming Club Inc. (“GV Crocs”) is affiliated with Masters Swimming Victoria (MSV)
and, by extension, Masters Swimming Australia. To participate in our club, you must maintain a full GV
Crocs/MSV membership.
You're welcome to try a few sessions with the squad before joining Masters Swimming Victoria. After these
initial sessions, MSV membership is required to continue training with the Crocs.
Most members choose the 12-Month Regional Discount Membership. Otherwise, depending on the time of year, the
6 month option is recommended.
You can join MSV here.
Our Head Coach, Nicole Dainton (Advanced Coach), brings a wealth of experience in both pool and open-water
swimming. We also have strong connections with the coaches at Shepparton Swimming Club. You can expect to
improve your stroke technique, fitness, and competition preparation. We encourage you to discuss your
swimming goals with our coaches.
New members should contact Nicole before their first training session so she can be prepared and aware of
your start date.
We keep in touch with members through our private Facebook group, Goulburn Valley Crocs.
Please send a join request to stay informed about events, training updates, competitions, and other
important information.
From time to time, the committee will also email all financial members to ensure you’re up to date.
Each training session costs $8, which covers coaching, administration, and a small contribution to club
activities that benefit everyone. You can pay poolside using a touch-pay Square pad for credit/debit cards
or via your phone.
You also have the option to pay for a block of 6 or 12 swim sessions in advance.
Please note: Standard pool entry is required through Aquamoves reception,
either with a casual swim fee or your Aquamoves membership.
We use the following equipment in most training sessions. Please bring what you can. You can purchase these items from Aqua Shop, with delivery typically taking 2–3 days. If you're unsure what to buy, please contact Nicole.
We use three lanes for indoor sessions and four lanes when swimming outdoors.
Lane 1 is for beginners or those returning after a break, as well as swimmers who prefer a slower pace.
Lane 2 is for average to above-average swimmers who have been with the club for a while or have the
fitness to complete the full program.
Lanes 3 and 4 are for above-average swimmers with a high level of fitness.
You can read
about lane etiquette here.

SOCIAL
Every Saturday morning after training (around 9am), we meet for breakfast at Welsford Street Café. Come along for a chat and a delicious breakfast—everyone is welcome! This is a great opportunity for new members to get to know others and enjoy the social side of the club. Each month, we draw a name from a hat to win a voucher from the café.
We also hold a Christmas Party each year to celebrate our swimming achievements together (venue and time to be confirmed).
